I mean, I am sure it is a lovely city, but man, the producers are doing a great job making it (as Jesse Pinkman would say) bleak, yo.  Hot, colorless, soul-sucking, and crime-ridden. Let me book my next flight!

That’s not a complaint.  The show gives me the total heebs, but in a good way.  Never before have a so felt like I am being personal witness to someone’s real-life stumble though a veritable factory outlet of Bad. Idea. Jeans. DUDE.

And I’ve always though Bryan Cranston was great, but this kid who plays Jesse?  BRILLIANT.  Doing a marvelous job with what could have been a cookie-cutter-hollywood stoner/loser role.  He’s got this character down pat, yo.

So it is no suprise that I can’t wait to see Management.  I am happy that it’s getting good reviews.

As I have been telling Laurence since the beginning of the season: If Adam sings ”Fire Woman” (or even if Kris sings “No Myth”) then I won’t need anything for my birthday this year.

Brittany Snow was OK, (although I can’t imagine Lily van der Woodsen ever being that… precious) and although I haaaated Krysten Ritter on VM, I have been digging her on this season’s Breaking Bad.  I can’t decide about Andrew McCarthy -  is that casting  brilliant or a bit too on-the-nose? 

And Ryan Hansen? I love you. I laughed the moment you came on screen. Dick Casablancas was an ass, but oh what a great ass he was. Can’t wait to see what you can do here.

Today I just feel like crap. I feel like the world is spinning and passing me by and I am just stuck here staring off insto space with no motivation to do anything.  I keep telling myself that all this malaise is just a side effect of nearly twelve months of interrupted sleep, but sometimes I am not so sure.

There are so many things in my life that I want to change, but I can’t get my feet under myself.  Debt reduction, career plans, writing… everything just seems to be on infinite hold while I sit here and think, “hhhm… maybe I’ll waste another hour reading fashion blogs.”

GOD, I have got to get myself out of this funk.

On a slightly more productive note, I made a week-long Spring-cleaning plan. Tonight I reorganize and clean the master bathroom. 

And now I will go die, because I am become to boring to live.

Normally, I either knit or fold laundry, but last night I made some jewelry.  I recently fell in love with the jewelry  this Etsy seller makes, and that led to my buying a bunch of stuff from Fire Mountain Gems and going to town.  That seller is basically making  J. Crew knock-offs, and I am making knock-offs of her stuff, so while I can hardly call my pieces original, I am very happy with the results.  So far I’ve made an amethyst cluster necklace and a coral-colored mountain jade mid-length piece.  Maybe I’ll post pics later.  I had to reinstall Windows on my home machine this weekend and I have yet to get the wireless back up and running, so unfortunately I am pictureless for a day or two. 

Speaking of American Idol, how boring were last night’s performances ? Seriously.  I am no fan of standards that have been played to death, and no matter what the judges said, nothing sounded fresh to me.  Although, I give the show props for A) giving Adam the opportunity to go full-out gay  theatrical while B) LOVING HIM FOR IT.  That’s progress, right?

If you are reading this, your probably already know me. Anyone who is following this was probably directed here from my Livejournal. After journalling there for more than 5 years, I have decided to make a transition to a public blog. The main reason for this is that my work has recently blocked LJ, although the traffic over there has been decreasing over the last year and I was toying with making a move anyway.

So, I will miss the anonymity and comfort of LJ, but I am looking forward to creating something new here. Expect mainly random comments on what I am reading, watching, and wearing, interspersed with musings on my experiences as a new (and totally befuddled) mother.

Wow, a public personal blog. Kinda scary.
