You guys? I was not going to get sucked into the whole Gossip Girl spinoff thing, but I think there is going to be no helping it.   I grew up in the eighties, and last night’s ep just made me want to put Valley Girl in the DVD player and crank up the Plimsouls.  Part of them fun will be the fashions, and I fully anticipate much yelling at the screen.  “Yeah, you got the blazer right, but her hair should be feathered!”

Brittany Snow was OK, (although I can’t imagine Lily van der Woodsen ever being that… precious) and although I haaaated Krysten Ritter on VM, I have been digging her on this season’s Breaking Bad.  I can’t decide about Andrew McCarthy -  is that casting  brilliant or a bit too on-the-nose? 

And Ryan Hansen? I love you. I laughed the moment you came on screen. Dick Casablancas was an ass, but oh what a great ass he was. Can’t wait to see what you can do here.
